U.S. Department Of Labor Recovers $555,000 For 2,607 Intuit Employees

The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced that Intuit, the provider of products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp allegedly failed to pay overtime pay, pay for all hours worked, and keep accurate pay records for 2,607 employees across the U.S. Some of the work hours purportedly included time the employees spent on required training. The Department purportedly recovered more than $555,000 from Intuit to resolve the alleged violations.

The federal Fair Labor Standards Act requires employers to pay employees overtime pay of at least one and one-half the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over forty (40) hours in a workweek.
